Dr. Mahmood Hachim has multidisciplinary backgrounds that shaped his medical degree and research career. With two Ph.D. in molecular medicine and translation research from University of Sharjah and Lubeck University in Germany, Master of research in cancer biology from University of Dundee and Master of Science in Medical Microbiology and Immunology from Al Nahrain University in Iraq.
Dr. Mahmoud researches focused on human microbiome and on applying novel bioinformatics approaches and state of the art omics approach. Understanding the molecular basis of such diseases to identify novel diagnostic and predictive clinically proven biomarkers is his goal.
Specifically, understanding the exact role of host immune response and microbiome interaction in susceptibility and development.

Dr. L.Jeyaseelan

Dr.L.Jeyaseelan is a Professor of Biostatistics at the MBRU of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dubai, UAE, and a Fellow of International Clinical Epidemiology (INCLEN) network. Dr.L.Jeyaseelan pursued one year Fellowship on Advanced level Biostatistics, Clinical Epidemiology and Epidemiology at the University of New Castle, Australia in 1989-90. I am awarded PhD in Biostatistics in 1989. Since then, Dr.L.Jeyaseelan trained Medical graduates (Bachelor (MBBS) and Masters (MD & MS)), Master’s students in Public Health, MSc Nursing and PhD students in statistical methods, epidemiology and computing.
Dr.L.Jeyaseelan worked as Visiting Professor at the University of Washington from 2004-2006. Dr.L.Jeyaseelan worked in Sultan Qaboos University Hospital as Consultant Professor for two years. During this period Dr.L.Jeyaseelan have conducted 22 workshops for the faculty members of the university. Dr.L.Jeyaseelan have been actively involved in conduction basic and advanced level Biostatistics and Epidemiological workshops since 2001. Dr.L.Jeyaseelan have had collaborations with University of North Carolina, McMaster University and University of Oklohama. Dr.L.Jeyaseelan served as PI, Co-PI on National level projects in India. Dr.L.Jeyaseelan served as a member of Data Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) of WHO Polio Studies . He has more than 200 papers published in national and international journals. Noha Mousaad Elemam graduated from the German University of Cairo in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and Biotechnology with Highest Honors. Then, she joined the master’s program in the Molecular Pathology Research Group (MPRG) in German University of Cairo. Her research work focused on the pathogenesis and epigenetic miRNA regulation of hepatitis C virus infection as well as the role of the immune natural killer (NK) cells in fighting viral infections. She obtained her master’s degree in 2014 with the grade “Excellent” in Molecular Pharmacology.
In 2016, Noha joined the Ph.D. program with a full-granted scholarship in Molecular Medicine and Translational Research at the University of Sharjah, along with a dual Ph.D. degree from University of Lübeck, Germany. During the Ph.D., Noha joined the Immuno-Oncology group with Prof. Azzam A. Maghazachi, a well-known distinguished immunologist, the rheumatologist Dr. Suad Hannawi as well as Prof. Jennifer Hundt. She focused on assessing the role of NK cells in cancer and autoimmune diseases, with colorectal cancer and rheumatoid arthritis as models. Currently, Noha is a postdoctoral research associate at the Sharjah Institute for Medical Research at the University of Sharjah. Noha published more than 30 papers in high impact factor journals and delivered many poster and oral presentations in several international and local conferences.

Dr. Saba Al Heialy

Saba Al Heialy is an Assistant Professor of Immunology at Mohammed bin Rashid University of Medicine, Dubai, UAE and Health Sciences and Adjunct Professor at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. She obtained her PhD degree in 2013 at McGill University where she trained at the Meakins-Christie laboratory, a leading research center in respiratory medicine.
She has received numerous awards and most notably the L’Oreal-UNESCO For Women in Science fellowship in 2017 followed by the prestigious L’Oreal-UNESCO International Rising Talents in 2019 for her research in obesity and asthma. She is currently funded for various projects revolving around the immune responses in different respiratory disease such as asthma and COVID-19 in collaboration with international and national institutions. She has published several papers on the immune response in COVID-19 and in particular is interested in the role of obesity in the current pandemic.

He is currently holding the position of Chair of Oral Diagnostic and Surgical Sciences, Associate Professor in Periodontology at Hamdan Bin Mohammed College of Dental Medicine, Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, and Honorary Associate Professor at University of Otago in New Zealand.
Dr Atieh holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Jordan, a Master of Science degree in Oral Surgery from the University of Manchester, a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry degree in Periodontology and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Oral Implantology from the University of Otago. Dr Atieh is the author of over 30 significant systematic reviews and meta-analyses of in peer-reviewed high-impact journals. His systematic reviews and meta-analyses include reviews of intervention, association and diagnostic accuracy studies.
Dr Atieh has also published on the methodological aspects and outcome reporting bias in systematic reviews. He is also teaming up with the Cochrane Oral Health Group as a reviewer and an author of two Cochrane reviews in Oral Implantology.
Dr Atieh is a member of the New Zealand Dental Association, the New Zealand Society of Periodontology, the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and the American Academy of Periodontology. He is also a fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI).
